Blepharospasm – Both Eyes Close Together
Benign essential blepharospasm (BEB) is a neurological condition in which the muscles around both eyes contract involuntarily, causing forceful blinking and, at its worst, an inability to keep the eyes open at all. Although the eyes themselves see perfectly, a person can become functionally unable to see simply because they cannot hold their eyelids open. It can be genuinely disabling, and it responds very well to treatment.
